Northern Beaches Surf Photography Competition

I am stoked to announce the launch of a Northern Beaches Surf photography competition that runs in conjunction with the WSL surfing event in Manly.  Epic prizes on offer, as well as an opportunity to have your image in an exhibition at Curl Curl Creative Space (14th - 23rd March 2020). 

Simple Rules

Any photo was taken on the northern beaches which relate to surfing or the ocean

The entry must be submitted via Instagram by using the following hashtag

#NBSURFPHOTOCOMP

and a hashtag from the indicating the category.  If you don’t select a category we will select for you.

Exhibition

  • All images that are finalists will be on display for 8 days in the Creative Space in Curl Curl. (14th - 23rd March)
  • Visitors to the exhibition will be able to purchase any of the finalist’s images.  (if the owner of the image wishes )
  • The winners will be announced on the 21th of March at a function at the Creative Space,
  • Visitors to the exhibition will be able to vote for a peoples choice winner who will be announced at the end of the competition

Your images

  • You will retain all rights to your image. 
  •  Permission will be sought from you for using your image by any of the vendors on anything other than instagram.
  • If you become a finalist - your image will most likely be shared on associated vendors to promote the exhibition.
  • If you are a finalist, you will be expected to pay $30 to have your image printed (A2) and hung in the gallery 
  • After the exhibition, you can collect your print and keep it. 
  • Visitors to the gallery will give your contact details should they wish to purchase your image. (either the gallery copy or a printed and framed copy from MAF)
  • If you are a finalist, and you have not paid for your print by 12 March, you will be disqualified from the exhibition.
  • Anyone under 18 entering the competition must not follow @manlyspirits or @nomads 

Prizes

First prize  

  • Your image will be printed to A2 and framed by manly art and framing ( @mafgallery) , and given to you
  • Your image will be featured in various (suitable) publications.
  • Invite to exhibit at the next exhibition on the Northern beaches
